The sphere shot through the night time sky in a fiery blaze until it landed a field of dirt on the outskirts of Ponyville.
Celestia's sun rose in the early morning sky, shining it's warm rays across the land, in Ponyville the townsponies were getting up to start their day.
On a dirt road outside of town, Rarity and her dragon friend Spike wher heading out to search for gems.
"Thank you ever so much for helping me find more gems for my supply Spiky wiky." The unicorn said to the purple dragon. "It was a good thing you wher just passing by the boutique at the right time."
"Oh yeah, good thing that I did heh,heh." Spike said bashfully, hiding his real reason for being outside the carousel boutique, to spy on his crush.
"With the new fashion trend happening I need to restock on gems for my new line of dresses." said Rarity. "Hopefully the field outside of town will be ripe with gems, providing we won't have another run in with the diamond dogs."
After ten minutes of walking the unicorn and dragon arrived at their destination. "Now remember Spike." Rarity said as she began to use her magic to find some gems. "These gems are for my dresses so no eating them." "Sigh, OK Rarity, I won't." Spike said, disappointed at not being able to eat any gem he finds.
Rarity and Spike spend a good part of the morning finding and digging up gem then putting them in the wagon they brought with them.
About an hour later they had filled the wagon with gems. "There." Rarity said as she levitated some gems into the wagon. "That should be enough."
She looked over at Spike who was looking longingly at the pile gems in the wagon,considering he helped her with her little errand Rarity decided to let Spike have one gem.
"Here Spiky wiki." Rarity said as she magically took a large green gem out of the wagon and gave it to Spike." A little award for for your help."
"Thank you Rarity." The small dragon said, graciously accepting the gem given to him by his crush.
"Your quite welcome, you earned it." Rarity said as headed for the front of the wagon. "Now that I have a new supply of gems we should head back to..."
Before she could finish she spotted something shiny a little ways off. "Hold on, what is that?" Rarity said as she headed for the shiny object with Spike following.
After a bit of walking they came upon a small crater with a purple crystalline orb resting in it's center.
Using her magic, Rarity took the small orb out of the crater to get a better look at it. "My word." The unicorn said as she gazed upon the golf ball sized sphere like it was a gift from celestia herself. "This is define.
"Yeah." Spike said as he looked at it hungrily. "A beautiful thing as this would be a perfect piece of jewelry for one of my future dresses. "Yeah." Spike said, disappointed at not being able to eat the small round gem.
"Come along Spike." Rarity said as she hooked herself up to the wagon." Let's get these gems and this fabulous treasure back to the boutique so I can get started on my new line of dresses."
The unicorn then trotting back to Ponyville with her wagon of gems and her new treasure in her magical grasp with the dejected dragon in tow.
Some time after getting back to her boutique in Ponyville Rarity stashed away the gems but kept the sphere with her.
"Now then." Rarity said as she levitated the orb into her hooves. "What form of fashion should I use you in?"
Sensing the presence of a living lifeform the consciousness within the sphere awaken.
