Edna Krabappel looked at the cookbook, then a the grocery bill, then looked at the scale, and finally looked at the mirror, "This is a mess you've gotten yourself into, Krabappel." Edna set the items down and walked away from the mirror. It's time for breakfast.
As she prepared her plain meal of egg whites and low-carb, low-calorie slices of toasted wheat thins, in her mid-end apartment. She reflected upon the reason why she had put on a whopping thirty pounds within the last two months, "Sure, it's a few slip ups of ordering an extra large pizza leading to guzzling down bottles of wine and soda, but once I found that stupid bakery, Top Muffins, BAM! I grew a muffin top!"
The heat from the stovetop began to diminish once Edna extinguished the flame. She began picking away at the tasteless breakfast that dreaded cookbook offered. Y'know. The ones that offered simple, tasty, yet somehow low-calorie meal preparations, that fail to keep her full after an hour of eating them, "Well, they ain't cheap or tasty. I oughta sue for false advertising!"
Ever since the purchase, Edna's found her grocery bill to quadruple in the usual amount. Turns out that fresh broccoli, salmon, and fat burning pills are more expensive than pre-packaged baked goods and meals from Krusty Burger. The elementary teacher sighed and looked at the book once more. A more than likely photoshopped picture of a happy, healthy, smiling woman looks back, "This is one hell of a pickle. On one hand, if I actually gather up the small shred of willpower that I have, I could actually shed this fat, but I'll probably be bankrupt by then! I mean, I could drop this and eat the way I used to," the thought of her being eighty pounds over weight entered her head. She thought of having to squeeze through doors, not fitting into her wardrobe, and worst of all, being an object of ridicule to her peers, especially to the class she teaches. "Hey, Mrs. Kra-druple bypass. Ahahaha!"
"Damn you, Bart!"
Edna shook her head. Well, this was the moment. The moment in which she decides to either use her small amount of willpower to lose weight while being broke or tip the scales and live comfortably.
"Hmm...."
