“Mom, aren’t you worried about your weight?” asked Azu trying to find her emotions.

“Well you know, I’m old so weight gain is normal for someone my age,” answered Sandy pulling out another box of doughnuts.

“I know but you seem to be gaining a lot lately,” replied Azu trying not to make it sound like it was all her mother’s fault.

“Um… Well,” Sandy was lost for words.
She had hope that no one would approach her about her weight gain and could just play it off, but she could hear the concern in her daughter’s voice. After a long exhale Sandy chooses to tell her daughter the truth.
“I’ll level with you, I, like, being fat,” said Sandy with hesitation.

“You What?!” replied Azu more confused than before.

“I know it’s weird, but it makes me feel so alive and sexy!” said Sandy with pride in her voice.

“Does Dad know about this?” asked Azu.

“He’s in full support,” replied Sandy.

“Wow, OK, well if it makes you happy,” said Azu feeling a huge weight being lifted off her shoulders.
