"Mom, please? Don't keep me like this!" Laura begged one last time. Her mother looked at her sternly, holding her tightly in her hand and walked to the kitchen. Lilly opened the fridge and got a large jar of pickles, though there was only one pickle left. She threw it away and placed the jar on the kitchen counter, with layer next to it.
"Now this is how it's going to go. You could be a good little girl and accept this new life of yours as being my six inch tall daughter. If you do this I'll take nice care of you, and you might come to like being so small. Misbehave, and you'll find yourself in the jar, or as we'll call it the jail for the rest of the day. And if you never learn then you'll have to stay a lot longer than just a day. So what's it gonna be?"
