Elizabeth sighed and slumped back in her chair as she stared at the intimidating pile of paperwork on her desk. Sometimes she hated being a manager and the responsibilities and tedious tasks that came with it. But she did it for the money, and of course the authority that came with the job. She picked a pen up off the desk and grabbed the first pile of papers. But then she noticed a stack of letters on the corner of the desk with a small cardboard box on top carefully wrapped in parcel tape. The writing on the package simple said 'The manager'.
Liz was the one who normally brought the mail up to Elizabeth's office in a morning, and usually she would open it eventually, after the more important work was all done. But there was something about the mysterious package that was telling Elizabeth to open it.
