The horses lurched to a Hauptmann at the gate belonging to the temple that the Oracle resides. The confused maidens scatter in fear as the armored royal guards force them out of the way. Mandella stayed close to her father. They quite loudly barged into the main hall where the Oracle " waited."
The hooded young woman sat in a comfortable looking chair drinking from a small cup. She perked up and lifted her head. " Your majesty, why do you do me this great honor?" Her words seething with sarcasm. Lord Casteronove stepped closer. " We wished for your blessing. I believe there is little reason to give word, as you already knew." She stopped sipping and mad an annoyed sound. " No, but it is the courteous thing to do. I assume you were taught these values." " The Lord chuckled. " It was taught briefly. Tactics, politics, swordsmanship all these prove to be far more important."
The King stepped even closer, the Oracle shrinking back slightly due to the closing proximity. " I would prefer if you refer to me by l, Halsey. You wish for a blessing for hunting, yes." She shook her head. " That's not what I do, I do not like to be seen as some sort of instrument. I simply peer into your future to give you advice. As for your reasoning I must say it is a bit more selfish than my usual requests." The King looked too of his men and they nodded, as they approached her.
Halsey slowly got to her feet. " Come now, let us be civil." She spoke realizing she had angered the king. " I see a darkness befalling you. Not during your hunting, but after. A lone dark figure. Driven by revenge shall rage a war against you. He shall turn the city against you, a new leader king rise... As for who will ultimately take the throne, I do not know as of now." Castronovo glared with anger. " What trickery is this, you lowly winch. Who is this usurper you speak of so I may quell this betrayal."
Halsey shook her head once more. " It is someone I knew, long ago. Though they have changed much..." The Lord chuckled boastfully. " It has been too long since a proper war raged. And now you gave me warning. Come Mandella, let us begin our hunt."
