James couldn't let this innocent creature meet such an awful fate. He screamed with all the air in his lungs, letting of a shrill noise. Despite his diminutive stature, it managed to carry to his devious mother. His hellish scream sounded like something out of hell and poor Paula was caught off guard. The flabby woman froze in shock, letting the mouse slip out of her grip. The furry rodent hit the ground and bolted, escaping under the fridge.
"J-James," Mary said, turning towards the source. "Shouldn't you be out?"
"Mom, what the heck? You were about to eat that thing!" James replied, ignoring her question. "What kind of monster are you, eating a living thing whole?"
"Oh James," Paula said as she knelled before her tiny son. "It's nothing strange, really. Humans are predators. What's it matter if I eat a steak or eat a mouse? It's all animals to me."
"But he's alive! That's different."
"No different than what cats or dogs do, sweety,". His massive mother pinched his shirt, lifting the youth off the ground and up towards her face. The stench of alcohol radiated from her mouth.
"But you're supposed to be better than them!" he whined. A loud, gratuitous roar echoed from her belly.
"Listen, I've been doing this since before you were born. I honestly can't tell ya how many of those critters I've added to my boobs and belly. In fact, you being small is kinda fitting, isn't it?" Paula said as she brought him even closer to her open maw.
James panicked; His mother being drunk and hungry was a recipe for disaster. He wouldn't have put it past her to swallow him whole.
"You know, I got a good idea," she began, "how's about..."
