Though she came along to the beach, Naoto hadn't planned on swimming that day. Instead, she felt it would be nice to sit on the shore instead and relax, possibly catching up on some reading in the meantime while everyone else swam. So, instead of wearing swimming clothes like everyone else, she showed up in her regular fall-weather clothes to stay warm in the brisk air. Though Teddie had complained, the rest of the group was pretty understanding, and so even though Naoto had agreed she would likely join in their fun later, (provided they wouldn't be in the water themselves,) they headed down to the shore line while Naoto sat with their stuff further on up.
However, just as Naoto was starting to feel comfortable, she was interrupted by a couple of people running up to her.
"Ah! I thought I was seeing things at first, but it really looks like him!" squealed a teenage girl, looking to be slightly older than Naoto, wearing a bright yellow bikini.
"Whoa, you're right!" exclaimed a boy about the same age wearing red and green striped swimming trunks. "That blue hat and hair... that young face... Hey, are you that Ace Detective, Naoto Shirogane?"
"Yes, I am," Naoto answered warily. "And you a-"
"Oh my god! The Detective Prince himself!" the girl interrupted, swooning.
"Man, talk about good luck, running into such a famous person here!" the boy said, taking the girl's hands and looking into her face, sporting a huge grin.

"Actually, I am not in the middle of anything at the moment," Naoto interjected, standing up to address them. She was starting to get a little annoyed, but was also somewhat surprised that these people didn't know her true gender, considering all of Inaba knew after her abduction incident in the Midnight Channel. Word must not have reached this area yet, or at least these people's ears. "Was there something you wanted from me?"
"Oh! Sorry," the man apologized. "You probably don't get many breaks being a professional detective, right? It's nothing, we'll just be-"
"Hey, hang on!" the girl spoke up, interrupting her partner's turning around to leave. "If he's not busy, maybe he can, you know...?" she said, her voice dropping several levels of volume, laced with insinuations.
"Really?" the man asked, looking back and forth between Naoto and his companion. "Well, yeah, it'd be great if he could but I'm not sure if he-"
"Is there a problem of some kind?" Naoto asked perceptively, not that she needed any of her intuition to know that something was up.
"Well..." the pair spoke, before catching each other and pausing awkwardly. The girl then continued:
