"Morning Carver, Richards," Kim greeted her colleagues, receiving slightly distracted nods in return. The lack of reaction didn't bother her much, as today was an exciting day for the three of them. They had been working with lab rats for the past four weeks, putting the little vermin through hundreds of tests until they finally received the go ahead to move on to human testing.
Kim grinned as she hung her blazer in the lab's closet and pulled on a lab coat, walking over to her two associates, "So, who's the poor fool we're testing today?"
"Huh?" Richards looked at her in confusion before looking back at his notes, "Uh...you are."
"What?"
"You volunteered last Tuesday to be our first human subject," Carver reminded her with a small smirk, "If I recall correctly, you're getting a little bonus for each successful test."
Kim frowned as she recalled the somewhat impetuous decision she'd made to sign up for testing. In her defense, she'd forgotten to get coffee that day and $700 per test seemed like a good deal at the time.
"Eh, fine with me," she shrugged at her colleagues, "What's first on the list?"
Carver grinned as she looked over the schedule, "Alright, so after you get suited up, we're going to..."
