Knock! Knock! Knock!

Well, I guess nap time’s over.

Molly let her eyes open to take in the darkness that filled the janitor closet 2-B. The twenty-one-year old stood up and tried to maneuver around the various cleaning supplies as she stretched her muscles. Her bones gave a satisfying ‘crack’ telling the woman that further exercise was not required.

A yawn escaped her grasp as she checked herself over through her camera phone. God, did she look terrible. Many considered Molly to be a kind and cheerful person and she liked to support that notion with her smile; however, fatigue tended to settle in and force her eyelids to drop and brows knot, leading some to suspect her to cause misconduct. Her light-brown hair clung to her top like fur which was accentuated by her height and muscles. The word “Sasquatch” was used freely in the workplace. Most people quit after two months from the stress. The one who stayed either were psychotic or, like Molly, had nothing better to do.

I should go back to college.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Three more knocks-the signal for second warning. Molly found it best to vacate the janitor closet for the time being. The woman grabbed hold of the door knob as she thought back to her dilemma for the evening. No costume meant no trick-or-treating, no free candy and no spending time with her friends tonight of all nights. She shrugged to herself and spoke aloud, “Eh..... I could just rip something off here.”

Confidence filling her system, Molly opened the door and welcomed the terror that was...
