Amy luxuriated in the shower, feeling the warm water wash over her body. She sighed. She'd really made the right choice to stay home tonight! Little did she know, of course, that tonight would be one of the most humiliating experiences of her life. She was suddenly jerked out of her thoughts by the sound of footsteps outside the bathroom, in the hallway. Amy's heart stopped. Who was there? Her family were all out, so it couldn't be them. A burglar, maybe? But why would they be out on the most crowded night of the year? Still hardly daring to breathe, Amy turned the water off and called out, placing her arms over her chest as the water began to cool.
"Hello! Is someone there?"
The silence seemed to stretch for an eternity, then an answer came.
"Oh, yeah, hi Amy. It's me, Trent. Blake spilled some punch on my ghost costume at the party-"
"Hey! It was an accident!" came the sound of Blake, Trent's friend.
"Yeah, you must have been too distracted by Jessica." said another of Trent's friends. Tony? Trevor? Amy couldn't remember.
Trent ignored the other two. "-So we came back to get another one. Do you know where my zombie from last year is?"
"I think you stuffed it under your bed. Y'know, like all the others." Amy called with an eye roll.
"Oh yeah! Thanks sis." Trent called back.
Amy let out a sigh of relief. Just her idiot younger brother and his dumb friends (although 'lackeys' might have been a better word). Nothing to worry herself about. In fact, she thought with a smile, this was pretty good. It gave her a reason to stay in the shower for longer. She'd left her clothes outside the door, and she wasn't about to go walking out in front of Trent's friends in just a towel. All was ... wait. Amy suddenly remembered. Her clothes were outside the door, including the pair of embarrassing heart panties she'd been wearing. Trent and his friends hadn't seen them yet, otherwise they'd already be making fun of her, but they might notice any minute! She'd die of shame if they did! What could she do? An idea suddenly occurred to her.
"Hey Trent, since you're putting your costume in the washing machine, could you stick my clothes in there, too? I was going to after my shower, but if you're going anyway...?"
"Absolutes, sis. Don't worry about it." came Trent's reply.
"Thanks!" Amy called, confident her brother wouldn't notice the panties bundled up in his costume, and turned the water back on.
On the other side of the door, Trent turned to his two friends and whispered to them, his voice hidden to his sister by the water.
"Alright guys, I think we might have another shot at this. After you-" he nodded to Travis, "-let her know we were here by bounding along the hallway, I thought the plan was over. But, ever the genius, I've only gone and come up with another."
The two others perked up.
"Alright!" whispered back Travis, "Yeah, sorry for being loud, just excited, I guess."
"Y'didn't have to throw me under the bus, though," said Blake, "You made me sound like a buffoon, spilling drinks on people. Your sister'll think I'm an idiot!"
"Look Blake," Trent said "Firstly, you are an idiot. Secondly, trust me, by the time tonight's over, you won't be the one looking stupid."
"Speaking of," Travis said, "What's the new plan?"
"Glad you asked," Trent said with a smirk. "Peeking is off, but I have another great idea. First, we just need to..."
