Come on. Think! You have to get out of this somehow. Felicia is like a talkative leech. You could walk for miles, and she'll still tag along. If only you could make yourself invisible. That's it!
You swing your backpack under your arm to where you can unzip it. Fel strides alongside you, but you carefully keep the pack turned away from her always inquisitive eyes. She asks what you're looking for in your backpack, but you just brush this and all questions aside as quickly and quietly as possible. With one shaky hand you turn the transposer's dial. You realize you are about to try this untested machine out on yourself.
By this point, you've already gone into a building, if it was the math department you didn't really notice, and Felicia is still right beside you. Setting the transposer as far to the shrink setting as it would go, you formulate your escape. Finally looking up, you notice the halls are pretty quiet, only a few other students walking by or lingering around the lockers or water fountains. This just might work.
As you approach the next corner, you quickly dash ahead. Felicia is confused and stumbles behind you. This gives you enough time to duck behind the turn and back against the wall. Taking out the transposer, you hurriedly blast yourself with a beam of light. The flashing charge disappears in an instant, but the weirdest sensation overcomes you. It's like a massage through your entire body, relaxing your muscles and mind as you watch everything around you get bigger and bigger. The distance between you and the far wall seems to expand forever as you melt in the arousing shrinking energy.
Then it stops. You almost want to pull the trigger again to feel that amazing sensation, but the slaps of Felicia's flip-flops against the tile wake you up fast. She rounds the corner and stands what must be hundreds of feet over you. She looks around puzzled, "Scott? Where did you go?" She shuffles her feet and surveys the area, then she looks down in your direction.
