The screen is a mess of noisy, glitching pixels. Rectangles of rainbow colors flash across the window for a single frame, darting and disappearing at random above a sea of black and white. Horizontal bars scan from top to bottom slowly. The phone rings again. Particles of the usual incoming call message dance around the screen, and to silence the sound and your own curiosity, you answer, only listening, not saying a word.
Putting the device to your ear, the sound much resembles the visuals, it's a quiet buzzing noise, echoing and whispering a void of voiceless disruption. But there's something you can't pinpoint, something behind the white noise, something having an effect on you. You are hypnotized by a faint musical tone, rising and falling on the waves. You couldn't call it a song, but definitely notes, ringing out and growing louder and clearer.
