Chapter #5Dana learns her role by: Michelle Dana still wasn’t sure what her role was and asked, “So am I playing one of the kids when they are all grown up and went off to college or something?”
Eddie shook his head, “Of course not. You will playing the acting role of the wife/mother of the family. The professional makeup and hair stylists will progressively make your face appear older with each scene. You’ll have to go through lots of different wardrobe changes throughout the filming of the commercial so it appears like you aged. In fact, here comes your husband now! I’ll introduce you!”
Dana was still surprised to find out she was playing the main role of the commercial. It sounded much more exciting than a quick photo-shoot showing off her body in front of a sportscar. She whispered to Ricky jokingly, “At least SOMEBODY wants to be my husband around here!”
Ricky laughed, “Whatever. I’m sure the guy is some lame struggling actor that….” Ricky then saw who was coming and ended his sentence with, “..Oh come on? Seroiusly?”
Dana looked up to see an overly handsome man in his early 20’s with dark brown hair. He looked like he just got done lifting weights with his muscular biceps sticking out from his sleeves. His shirt was so tight it practically contoured his six-pack abs. He confidently smiled, “Hi. My name is Jet. Looks like I’m your husband for the time being!”
Ricky was suddenly jealous and thought to himself, “JET? Of course this guy has a cool name like Jet. Why wouldn’t he?”
Dana hadn’t realized it, but she was staring at Jet with a flirtatious smile while eyeing him up and down. Dana let out a girlish giggle and offered a handshake, “Hi Jet. I’m Dana.”
Jet looked down at Dana’s hand and didn’t shake it. Instead, he gave a cunning smile and suggested, “I know we just met, but filming is going to start soon. We better act professional and get into character so we can start working on our chemistry.”
Dana had never acted on a professional scene before and wanted to look as proficient as possible. She was still absentmindedly ogling how attractive Jet was and was giving a sexy smile, “Of course. We better start acting like our characters.”
Jet eyed Dana’s hand that was still awaiting a handshake. He told Dana, “Remember we are supposed to be in love. The commercial opens with a quick shot of us at the altar after exchanging vows and have our first kiss as husband and wife. Let’s practice that moment so the first time isn’t awkward on camera.” Jet moved in close and embraced Dana with a hug. Dana’s female hormones were running wild as such an attractive man held her. Dana arched her neck up and closed her eyes as Jet used his hand to align her chin to his lips. The two started kissing passionately as Dana absentmindedly bent one knee so her leg stuck out 90 degrees behind her while being supported by an attractive man.
Ricky was shocked to witness the display. Even though it was really his best friend Darin inside Dana’s beautiful body, Ricky still felt like he had ‘rights’ to her. After all, it was his idea for Darin to become Dana and pretend to be his girlfriend. Seeing another man kissing and caressing Dana set him off.
Eddie could tell Ricky was upset and reminded him, “Relax dude. It’s all part of acting. They are going to holding hands and hugging during most of the scenes. They have to give the illusion of love to the viewers so they can relate to the family and buy new cars. Don’t forget about that huge paycheck she will get for this.” Ricky seemed to settle down as he eyed his ‘girlfriend’ continue to passionately kiss Jet.
When the kiss ended, Dana let out a slow “Mmmm.” As they separated. She looked up at Jet with a smile, “I don’t think we got it quite right. Let’s try that again!” Jet eagerly embraced his counterpart as they practiced kissing again. Ricky watched the display and managed to contain his jealousy.
The producer suddenly came up walking up with an entourage. She was a woman in her mid-forties who was experienced in shooting commercials. She was barking out instructions to everybody she passed. She stopped at Dana and Jet and eyed them up and down while they were still embraced in a kiss. Eddie cleared his throat to prompt Dana and Jet that the producer had arrived, “Ahem…”
They quickly ended the kiss as the producer took a stroll around her two star-actors with a satisfied grin, “Hmm. You two seem to be getting along well.” Dana and Jet both stood up straight while the producer circled them, “My my my. It’s a relief to have two fine specimens to work with for a change.” She then eyed Dana close and inspected her body and face. She patted Eddie on the back and said, “Great work. When you told me about finding the perfect actress, you failed to mention how gorgeous she was. You did good Eddie.” Eddie was relieved that the producer was happy with his recommendation. That would certainly lead to a promotion soon.
Dana had a huge smile after hearing the compliment. Even though it wasn’t really hers, Dana had a sense of pride showing off her body. The producer than looked at her watch and snapped back into bossy-mode, “Filming for scene 1 begins in 45 minutes. Costume and makeup people!” She specifically told Dana, “Once you have the wedding gown on, be careful! It’s a 20,000 dollar gown that a designer is letting us borrow for the scene. It will of course give their new dress line free exposure during the commercial. It’s a win-win for both companies. However, absolutely no drinks or food while you are wearing it!”
Dana nodded in agreement as the producer walked away. Dana couldn’t believe she was about to be costumed as a bride for the first scene. It made sense for a car dealership commercial to show the young newlyweds beginning their life of buying cars together. She whispered to Ricky with a joke, “I guess I will end up wearing a white wedding dress after all...”
Ricky joked back, “Don’t get too attached. There’s no way you are spending 20,000 dollars on your dress when we get married!” Dana and Ricky smirked as they continued the playful game of pretending to be married some day. They both knew that once Dana shapeshifted back into “Darin” and had his normal male hormones back, that he wouldn’t be so keen on the idea. But for now, they would take advantage of the situation and have some spirited conversation about the topic.
Jet interrupted the private conversation and said, “I better get my tux on. See you at the altar!” Dana was still coming down from all the butterflies in her stomach from practicing kissing with Jet. She batted her eyes and suggested, “Once we are both ready, we should meet up before the scene so we can practice our kiss again. I’m still not sure we have it down quite right.”
Jet gave a flirtatious grin back, “It’s bad luck if the groom sees the bride before the wedding you know.”
Dana laughed, “Of course. I suppose the next time I’ll see you is when I walk down the aisle. Wait. Is there an aisle? I hope there is. I don’t want to be cheated while making my grand entrance during this fake wedding!”
Jet shook his head, “No aisle. But the film crew does want a close-up of my reaction when I see you. That way it will be genuine reaction of a groom seeing his bride all dressed up for the first time. My agent said it will only be a ½ second shot during the commercial but it might be added in later.”
Dana nodded, “Well I hope I don’t disappoint you Jet.” Dana then sarcastically mumbled to Eddie, “..My agent failed to tell me any details about this commercial shoot.”
Eddie shook his head and seemed to be stressed with filming about to begin, “I’ll fill you in as you go. Luckily you have zero lines to memorize. Like I said before, just quick 2-3 seconds shots of the family going through life stages with their new cars. There will be music playing the whole time while an announcer does voice-overs to explain the car deals. All you have to do is act and look pretty.”
Dana confidently giggled as she swayed her hips heading off to the hair and makeup trailer, “No problem! I’ll see you boys later!”
Eddie then turned to Ricky, “Thanks again for making sure Dana showed up. You have no idea how good she is going to make me look. So? Where is everybody else you said you’d bring for the other scenes?”
Ricky was confused thinking, “Huh?”
Eddie was stressed and looking at the filming schedule on his clipboard, “Oh. I guess we won’t need them for a few hours anyways. Just let me know when they arrive. You promised me last night you’d pull through. I can trust you right buddy?”
Ricky then recalled the conversation from last night at the bar. He had a few drinks and had forgotten until now. When trying to convince Eddie that Dana was perfect for the commercial, he remembered he DID promise Eddie he’d fill the other positions too. Ricky figured with the shapeshifting medallion, Dana could become any actor or actress they needed. Ricky hadn’t realized that Dana would be required to be present in all the different scenes. That meant somebody else had to use the shapeshifting medallion to fill-in. Ricky thought to himself, “Maybe I can use the medallion and fill in for these roles? Maybe I can call a few friends to help too.” Luckily, Ricky had a few hours until the next scene was being filmed and had time to figure out details. Ricky grabbed a copy of the schedule and gulped at learning what characters he promised to provide. Ricky nodded and replied to Eddie, “Uh. Sure. You can trust me! I’ll make it work!”
