Chapter #6

A few days later

    by: cana Author IconMail Icon
A few days later Joe came up with his latest inspiration. He took time to set up a little vacation for all of the roommates. Arrangements for a van and offering them a couple of cases of beer. He thought that a medallion weekend would be fun. Playing with his powers of metal prowess in graduating levels. Testing from simplistic insects to rodents to cats, children and adults. From spelling out his own name in lightning bugs. Directing lab mice to climb atop each other in a stack. Laughing to himself thinking on how he made cats act like a dogs. Shaking with their paws, sitting and staying. Making them heel for walks.

With the children at the park, from a distance directing them to switch equipment they played on. Nothing sinister for them or the adults. At the grocery store he controlled impulse purchases. A candy bar or a pack of gum to prove his ability. He held back from his roommates, not needing to force them to go.

Mark needing to save money after purchasing a new camera. Jumping at an opportunity to test it out on a free trip. Larry wasn’t hanging out with his sister and Tommy up for an adventure. That left Brad who succumbed to the free beer offer. Traveling roommates slumbering along the way as Joe took care of the driving. Brad woke as the van hit gravel and shading of thick forest on either side. “We entering a horror movie? Going to a secluded cabin in the woods.” Brad said with a laugh.

“Any killer will have to contend with us and the medallion.” Joe said.

“Unless one of us is the killer.” Mark said with a feigned ominous tone.

Joe said, “Unlikely given our close proximity and lack of murder in our lives.” Then changing the conversation, “I have a couple games I thought that we might play with the medallion now that we have seclusion.”

“That is what this about.” Tommy said. “We all figured you were up to something.” A general nodding in the car.

Brad smirking looking back to Mark adjusting his camera settings. Thinking on the medallion, woods, and Mark with his camera an idea took on a legendary shape. Exiting the car swiping the medallion. Sinking into his flesh he began altering his form. Muscles bulking up with his arms elongating. Nearing nine feet and the appropriate covering of fur. He finished his transformation with the most defining feature. Widening and growing out his feet he left them as can only be described as big.

“Let me get out my camera Mr Bigfoot.” Mark said readying his camera. Brad happily posing in numerous ways doing muscle flexes and flirty displays to everyone’s laughter. When Mark checked his photos he frowned, “What the hell all of these photos are grainy and blurry.”

Brad smiling with his subhuman face, “Didn’t you know that Bigfoot naturally makes any pictures blurry that is the reason there is no evidence of him.” The group chucking seeing Bigfoot chug a beer and Brad’s prank.

“What do you think we all become Bigfoot and creep out the neighbors?” Mark said.

“If you want to walk that far go for it.” Joe said. “I have a couple ideas for some games we can play. I have blank cards that we write down transformations and randomly draw one out. We charge our bodies that we change into whatever we read on the cards. Another idea that I have is we have a contest to see who can transform into the funniest thing by gets to name form and person who is the next maid. Or if one of you have a better idea please I am open. I wanted to come up here to transform free from worrying about discovery.”
