The statues were strange to say the least. They were of animal people, almost looking like those of like the Egypt, or something like that.
The the other thing about these statues that caught your attention was just how big they were, and not in size particularly. The stomachs of the anthropomorphic animal statues were large, distant and round, with bare breast sitting just as heavy on the stony domes as many of the statues seemed to be holding or presenting their forms proudly.
There were several different statues of different animal women, all pregnant in some fashion, and all seemed to be just as heavy as the other.
There was a large feline one, one the looked like a wolf, one that looked like a croc even, and a rabbit here as well, and that was just a few examples.
It was just about as weird as the forest around you... and what was stranger was how ell kept it seemed to be...
You could only guess as to what kind of temple this was... Most likely one of fertility. Not that it mattered... what goods a tall Mayan like temple in the middle of nowhere... actually.
Deciding that maybe getting a higher vantage point would help you, you go and start climbing the long set of stony stairs. Would be funny if this was how you got that fantastic view of a sun set your friend told you about before...
As you climb higher, you took a break and sat on the stairs and turned to look at how far you were, seeing those pregnant animal women statues... you felt like they were watching you... or maybe it was your imagination...
After the small break, and with the uneasy feeling of being watched, you finally get to the top of the temple and looking about you noticed that...
