This choice: The Coronation of a King • Go Back... The king repeated his words, "I will return from the dead and reclaim the throne."
But, Your Majesty, you indiated something bad could happen to the one known as 'king' while you're away; do you already know of something that's supposed to happen? I don't want to die."
The king laughed. "You won't die. I'm sure of that. And if you do marry her, I'll have it annulled when I return and declare her unfit to take any other man as her husband; her reputation will be broadcast around the kingdom. Now, I call my Bishop back in. You're dismissed." I backed out of the room after a boy.
The Bishop returned to the room and nodded as he bowed. "Your Majesty, I have made all the arrangements."
"Bishop, while I'm gone, oversee the arrangements, make sure the marriage takes place and develop a series of accusers ready to accuse Lady Myst when I return. Since her "husband' will be dead by then, your position and mine will be safe with the power and the Throne yours and mine.
"Thank you for trusting me, Your Majesty. I look forward to your return."

A few weeks later, Bishop VanGrew arrived to meet with the soon to be new King of Targaryen. "Bishop VanGrew, are all things set for the Coronation tomorrow?
The Bishop bowed and responded, "Yes, your majesty. The Coronation will take place exactly as you have asked; at the same time, I've completed meetings with Lady Myst for the wedding which will be held immediately after the Coronation. I must tell you, my friend, she loves you with a secret heart, not just because of the contract, and it is her desire that you choose a full and abundant life with her."
"Thank you. We will have a good life and children too. I need to be sure you have carried out the arrangements for the Old and Once King of Tartaryen to be dead along with all who knew of his intended plan against both her and me. Without your friendship to me, I would be facing death instead of him; he wasn't as wise as he thought when he chose me to take his place temporarily; now it will be all the days he had hoped to live; and, Lady Myst and I will be good leaders for the nation of Tartaryen and our heirs will continue to lead the nation in positive ways."
"Your majesty, I am grateful to know that once again Tartaryen will be a good nation where the people are protected and are given the right to live their lives without fear."
The people crowded the path to be taken by their new king before coronation at the Palace steps. They were jubilant and hopeful as they sang songs and waited.
The new king walked with his troupe, waved and spoke to the people and when he reached the steps, he turned and bowed to his people before sitting in the golden chair waiting for him. As the Bishop placed the crown on his head, tears filled his eyes; he knew many had died in recent days to cleanse the kingdom of vilians who had followed the old king before he had disappeared. "Your Majesty, the kingdom is cleansed; only peaceful people will honor your days and enjoy the goodness of your reign. Be true to them and the Kingdom of Tartaryen will prosper." Then he turned to the crowd, "Honor your new king. Be true to him and this kingdom will prosper."
The crowd bowed as one then a voice shouted as they stood again, "Long live the King" and the crowd joined in the shout. It was clear to the new king as his heart was blessed, "I will serve these people with my heart and seek only peace among them."
