She was alone

Looking in, you feel relieved that there was no one else in her bedroom. However, you quickly realize the sounds you had heard were indeed coming from her room. Not only that, but your mother was sitting up in bed, wearing nothing but her bra, and her hands were... Well, they were under the covers, but you could guess what she was doing.

Your mother looks up, and for a moment, the two of you simply stare at one another in shock. "A-Alex? Wh-what're you doing up?" she stutters, quickly covering herself with her bedsheet.

Your face is beet red. "I - I - I heard noises, and I thought there was an i-intruder..." you explain.

Her face is also quite red. "Oh? S-sorry about that. I, um....
