You decide to wait it out. There's no point in rushing in blindly. For all you know the intruders may have some powerful magic. Unlike other orcs you were from one of the three mysterious tribes. No one in orc society knows the name of your tribe or the other two besides your tribe, the Legendary Orc King, and the other two tribes. The name of your tribe is known as the Adventure Breaker Tribe. Unlike the other tribes your tribe is usually sent out by the Legendary Orc King to learn more about the other races. The other two tribes are the Assassin Breaker Tribe, which is the Legendary Orc King's secret task force that covertly spies on any invaders or war parties from the shadows, and the War Breaker Tribe, a tribe dedicated to declaring war on those who invade your home. You and some of your tribesmen returned from an adventure.
Your Warchief had put you on guard duty. All of your tribesmen go through a rotation where if an orc goes on an adventure they are put on guard duty for a while. It was no surprise that every able orc has went on at least one adventure. It was uncommon for female orcs to go on adventures as long as they prove themselves before the Chief that is. As you quietly wait you have a sense of dread. From around the corner you here maniacal laughter. The voice to who the laughter belonged to was definitely high-pitched.
"This is so much fun! I just love spilling blood. It makes me feel so alive!" The high-pitched voice echoed through the cave.
"Sakara, remember we are only creating a diversion. The thief that Lady Marlani hired should be have a clear path to the sword that she desires."
"I know Leron. Just turn into a werelion and help me kill these orcs. I don't want you to spoil my fun! If you do so I'll make you into my personal sparing partner."
"Whatever Sakara. You know your bloodlust will eventually cost you your own life."
From the conversation you can tell that these two intruders have a thief among their ranks and they plan on stealing a sword. You remember that the warchief from the Defense Breaker tribe died gloriously in battle. His son Torque would naturally be a consideration as the next warchief, not because of blood, but due to his spirit. However, he befriended a fairy slave, a water fairy named Shalla. You weren't against the idea since you seen fairies work alongside humans from time to time, but unfortunately against you and some of your tribe members.
You quickly take cover behind a boulder as you hear some footsteps. You glance from the boulder as you see a lion man and what appears to be a dark fairy. You are tempted to strike, but you watch from the boulder as some members from the other tribes rush the attackers.
I have to see if I can pinpoint there weaknesses. Rushing in without knowing what the enemy can do would only result in pointless deaths. By knowing the enemy I can know how to beat them. Even the Legendary Orc King himself would advise such an approach. He did hail from our tribe after all.
As your fellow orcs charge at the lion man and dark fairy you observe that the lion man is extremely fast and strong and that the dark fairy uses here magic to instantly kill all who oppose her.
"That was fun! Let's kill some more!"
You couldn't believe your eyes. These two individuals killed that many orcs. Your fellow orcs did kill a few humans, but those two would definitely outclass you. The only tribe that could take these intruders were the Fear-Giver Tribe or the Assassin Breaker Tribe since they had superior stealth despite their burly builds. You then notice the lion man sniffing the air.
"Looks like there's at least an orc here. He's alive as well."
"Awesome! That means I can kill him! Let me kill him!"
"No Sakara, let him live. He may fetch some reinforcements. "
"What a smart idea. It would get boring if I killed him and no one else was around. I could always entertain myself by breaking his bones and cutting his body. Maiming and slow painful deaths also gives me satisfaction."
It looks like they know I'm here. I need to warn the chief and the Legendary Orc King. I don't mind dying in battle, but there is no honor in dying for the sake of revenge. I may not know why humans invade our home, but I'm beginning to understand why. They really view our race creatures to be killed and looted. Even while adventuring I never known why humans look at us with disgust, but seeing a fairy who kills for her own amusement makes it pretty clear. There should be a secret passage by this boulder that the Assassin Breaker Tribe uses. If I can reach the chief and the Legendary Orc King we can formulate a plan to stop those murderers.
You feel around the wall and try to find the passage. After tapping the wall a few times you realize that the boulder that your hiding behind might be covering the passage. You push the boulder out of the way. You see a hole and a rope tied to a giant metal spike. The fairy and lion man had already left. You then climb down the hole. Once in the secret passageway...
