After the visit with the government official who kept trying to get your lands you decided to have a talk about the circumstances surrounding your home. You went into your house where your Children and Wife were waiting for you.
" Trying to make you sell your land again?" She asked.
" You know it, but I can't do that, this land means so much and now they are trying to claim that I am a traitor to my king? I am just a farmer, nothing more nothing less they wouldn't be able to prove it. Besides don't you think it's strange that a King is buying up all the subjects land. Sure some of them had made a profit off of it. But it isn't the money that keeps me from selling it." you replied.
" Well dear then why is it you wont sell your land?" Your wife ask again.
" It's actually quite simple the King had once said that the land belongs to his subjects and he would rule his subjects with Just Laws and complete fairness. The land owned by the King however is used for troops of the kingdom first. The King may have bought a lot of land, but that land is meant for those going to war. Which means if he bought all the land we wouldn't have any for the people who are staying here." you replied.
" I understand, but these are peaceful times, so the King wouldn't need the land anyways." Your wife said. You both believed in the King and your children were far too young to understand the complexities of war. You and your wife then went to have dinner and then went to get rest for the night.
