“Mr Williams, thank you for sharing your testimony. I know sharing this information about your father and his organization could not have been easy.” The female NLA agent said as she finished up the tape.
Nathan Williams was a young man, 21 and working at his family’s steel manufacturing business. His father Tobias Williams or Toby, as everyone called him immigrated to the USA as a young boy with nothing and over the years fulfilled his American Dream by creating a successful Steel Plant that he planned on one day handing down to his son.
This however was a lie...The Plant was nearly a cover, along with several other smaller businesses Toby owned around the city. All used to launder money from drugs and prostitution, and protection money ran by Toby’s criminal empire.
Toby Williams was actually one of the largest gangsters in recent memory. Nobody knew exactly the number of bodies he was responsible for but The FBI estimates it in the hundreds. He controlled practically every small time dealer to larger distributors all across the city. The number of goons and henchmen working for both directly and indirectly was in the dozens.
Nathan was Toby’s youngest son. He had two older half brothers already heavily involved in the business. Both of them were strong but unfortunately were rather dim...Toby blamed it on their mother who was one of Toby’s favorite working girls.
Nathan however was different. His mother was actually an accountant who worked at the Steel Plant and fell in love with Toby. The two were actually married and love when they had Toby. However one day Nathan’s mother decided she couldn’t accept Toby’s true nature and business and tried to leave with Nathan...Only to never be heard from again...
Nathan was raised in blissful ignorance for most of his life. He knew nothing about his Father’s business until he was a teenager. Nathan was always a bright kid, he had a good soul and a nice head on his shoulders. Toby began to see Nate as his true heir and entrusted his two other sons to bring in Nathan into the business.
Over the years Nathan began to understand the true depth and darkness of his dads business. At first he pretended to accept it. He ignored most things he didn’t like but he also turned a blind eye to many who were suffering.
One day however everything changed...Nathan’s brothers Jake and Mikey took him somewhere that they claimed was a stakeout. They lied...
It was a total bloodbath. Jake and Mikey had cornered a small time petty thief who was reselling their drugs on the side for small time profits. To send a message Jake and Mikey beat this poor crook with in an inch of his life with a baseball bat.
When push came to shove to end it all Jake pulled out his pistol but instead of doing the deed himself he handed the gun to Nathan.
At first Nate refused. He wasn’t a hit man or executioner. When it became clear that he wasn’t going to do it his brothers turned on Nathan. They began to beat him mercilessly. All in order to teach him the meaning of “Family”
Mikey ended up taking the gun himself and ended the poor mans life but they dragged Nate back to their dad and told him how Nathan had chickened out like a coward.
Toby told his son Nathan that if he was going to cry and pussy out like a girl he might as well throw on a skirt and join the working girls on the sidewalk.
From that moment on Nathan knew what he had to do. It took time and planning but eventually Nathan met up with an agent from the FBI and provided him with all the first hand accounts he had witnessed.
After days of interrogations the FBI got what they wanted from Nathan but they knew this would never stick without an in person testimony in court. Normal witness protection wouldn’t cover it either. Toby’s connections ran deep they only had one option...Call in the NLA.
The new life agency or NLA would be sent in and give Nathan an all new body and new life. He would have to live it for months until they were ready to bring him to testify. The only problem Was the new life they had chosen for Nathan was not one he was ready for...
