Princess Peach was bored. The Mushroom Kingdom was beautiful on a sunny day like this. She looked over the rolling hills, Toads playing around in the green grass, cheep cheeps jumping up and down in the sparkling water. It was gorgeous - and she was so bored. She thought that sitting out in the garden bathing in the summer sun would kill some time but she found herself restless.
The garden was beautifully landscaped with flowers of all colours and sizes adorning almost every single inch of it. All of a sudden, she noticed a mushroom slowly gliding around among the vegetation. She hadn't seen one like this before and she was certain it was a new addition to the grounds. Perhaps something Toadsworth had given to the groundskeeper, a rare gift from a foreign diplomat or something.
She moved towards it, entranced by the beautiful fuchsia colour that stood out even among the rainbow palette of petals surrounding it. She walked towards, bent over and picked it up, for a moment so lost in the beautiful hue that she forgot to consider what effects it might have.
Her body started tingling. She felt a wave flush over her, moulding her and transporting her. It was over in a few seconds and when she came to, she could feel instantly that something wasn't right. She had turned into...
