"How about the Giglin?" you ask Erin, pointing to the last image. As you ask, an image of one of these Giglin fills your screen. It's female, and like the silhouette indicated, has four arms. The other thing that jumped out at you was the inhumanly bright red color of its skin. But if you ignored skin tone and those extra arms, she could almost pass for human. The woman in the image had long silky hair of a purple/dark red color, reminding you of an expensive glass of wine. Her eyes were a pastel pink, and seemed to be staring right at you, despite being a rotating still image. Ah, and now that you look closely, you can also see two small antennae protruding from the top of her head, poking out through the hair.
Her body was quite attractive, made all the more apparent by her lack of clothing. A small black garment clung tightly to her breasts, not tied or strapped anywhere, seemingly glued or taped to her chest in a manner which also accentuated her cleavage, pulling her full breasts snugly together. Her only other clothing reminded you of a pair of short shorts, riding low on her hips and only coming down a scant few inches down her thighs. Unless her lack of clothing was for your benefit of seeing what one of them looked like, this race wasn't one for modesty.
Not that you minded at all, as it gave you a chance to ogle her form. Her hips curved enticingly around a waspish waist that went a bit beyond what human women were capable of. Her stomach was flat and smooth, with only the barest hint of muscle underneath those alluring lines, and her chest was rather impressive as well. Continuing to look up, you now noticed her burgundy lips were voluptuously full, and looked enticingly soft. Did they pick the most beautiful representative of their species for this stock photo or what?
"Are you done ogling her yet?" Erin asked you teasingly. "This is a representation of your average Giglin, at least among the ones we have seen." Average? Then there were some of them that were even more beautiful than this one? "As you can see, they don't like to wear much clothing. Then again, humans are one of the more prudish species in this regard. The Erimosi wear those robes for your benefit, you know." Actually, you didn't know that. Then what do they wear normally?
Erin continues to tell you about the Giglin. "The Erimosi haven't made official contact with the Giglin yet. They're farther away than Earth, and the Erimosi just made contact with you. But this means that humans will be able to do something before the Erimosi! Any information we gather would be very useful and much appreciated when we return." The idea that you might be able to do something before the Erimosi is pretty exciting. The helpful aliens have seemed almost godlike compared to primitive humans, and it was as if they had already done everything worth doing. But now they would actually want to learn from humans, from you!
"From isolated contacts in known space, and information from other races, the Giglin are an isolationist people, preferring to look inward to zealously pursue their own interests. So they don't interact with other races much. But we do know that the Giglin believe in following a hedonistic lifestyle, and that their culture is based on maximizing the physical pleasure of its people. And since they devote so much of their energy to that end, they are rumored to be extremely talented at what they do. I can only imagine what their parties are like." Erin tells you, the last bit rather flippantly.
"Alright, so a race of beautiful aliens that just want to have fun all the time? Seems like a great mission." you say, before you have a concerning thought. "But if they keep to themselves so much, how would they feel about me dropping in on them?"
"Unknown, honestly. The Erimosi haven't done it, and information from the other races is… unreliable." Erin answers. "However, reports seem to indicate that many who enter Giglin space do not come back. Whether because they choose not to or are somehow coerced, or even killed, I cannot say. However, we have no record of Giglin exhibiting violence when interacting with other races."
Well, that part does make you concerned. "I was just going to warp right into the middle of Giglin space and just say 'hi.' But if they don't like visitors, and might even be hostile, maybe that isn't the best idea. Is there any way we can make contact with the Giglin outside of their own territory?"
Erin pauses for a moment before responding. "Yes. The Giglin do make a minimal amount of trade with the outside. There is a trade outpost orbiting a planet-less star system where many races meet, and there have been frequent sightings of Giglin there. Also, there is also a vacation world that caters to a number of races. I'm not sure they'd let a poor human in, but you might be able to ask if any Giglin are around, and if they'd be willing to interrupt their holiday to talk."
That does give you options. You could still do the straightforward approach and show up right in the middle of Giglin territory and hope they're friendly to you. But there's some obvious risk there. Merchants probably wouldn't be as hostile, but they also might not have any interest in speaking with you. The same goes for Giglin vacationers. Which to try?
