Chapter #6

Tomorrow!

"John you Idiot! How could you mess something like this up?! This is a big fuckin deal, this isn't some game, this is something that could get you killed. I mean you need a way back up the hill, it would take you hours at your size and the hill is steep. And to boot, your mom and dad might come back. What if they move the lamp, or god forbid break it!" John says to himself aloud. This is, in his estimation, the most dangerous thing that has ever happened to him. One inch, and he was in a situation where nobody knew where he was.

Snapping back to the situation at hand, John fell back on more of the wisdom bestowed upon him by his father. Always look on the bright side. So situated himself beneath the fence post, and sat down. Checking the time it was 6. he planned to be here at this time to give himself three hours to situate himself.

"Good points, good points... well, I am warm and have supplies. I am relatively close to a safe place, and I have a way out." John nodded to himself at the last point. He had a way back. He showed his parents the lamp, and he told them what it meant to him and all of that. So odds are if they moved it, they'd just put it in his room. or not move it at all.

But he also looked at the reality. It was getting dark, and creatures would be about. He had a hatchet, but that was little more than a placebo. If he encountered anything bigger than say a roach, odds started to stack against him.

Also he might only have a few chances to get into the house. It was late, and though the cold may not have been a problem, in the long run it may prove to be.

Finally, the longer he waited here, the less time he had to act. So grabbing his bag, John started off towards D's house.

You have the following choices:

1. John arrives without a hitch.

2. The gate starts to open.
