Heidi/Elliot talks her way into the job

    by: Nerdie Author IconMail Icon
Before Susan could stop the pink-haired, party girl form, she was already entering Tensaided's office.

"Sir, would you wait just a-"

"Susan, you recommended the girl and I'm taking that recommendation seriously. But I'm going to judge her on her own merits. No more info from you!"

Before she could even try to explain, the large boss shut the door and began a lengthy conversation.

Susan's hand whipped toward her phone and furiously dialed Ellen.

"What the hell just happened?!"

"She got to the shop, didn't she?" Ellen's voice was annoyingly casual about these events.

"She's in my boss's office right now! Why did Elliot turn into that party maniac?! Doesn't he know how impulsive he gets when he's under that spell?"

"He was just trying to make sure he didn't transform during the interview. He didn't plan on this!"

"And you couldn't stop her from driving off?!"

"I tried, really! But I looked away for one second-"

"It's fine!" Susan dragged a hand down her face. "It'll be fine. Heidi'll bomb the interview, I'll explain that it was all a big misunderstanding, and then the real Elliot will know what not to do."

"So instead of quick, energetic, and the so-confident-she-overcomes-real-personalities Heidi... you think Elliot can be hired."

Susan sputtered for a moment as she tried to come up with a solution for this whole mess. Sadly, her thought process was quickly interrupted by her boss bounding out of his office.

"This girl is great, Susan! She's friendly, a social butterfly, and she's seen plenty of movies! Just what we need!"

Susan paled. "But-"

"You don't need to say another word! She's hired!"

Smiling with the smile of someone who thinks everything's worked out for everyone, Tensaided strolled to the back of the store to organize the DVDs.

The pink haired goofball wrapped an arm around Susan without a care in the world. "Well I think that worked out pretty well!"

Susan pleaded for the sweet embrace of death.
