"You can enchant clothing?" Pete was baffled by his mother, "What does that even mean, mom?"
""I'm still figuring it out, give me a sec," Jane closed her eyes, like she was trying to remember something, "It seems...that whoever wears the necklace can infuse any item of clothing with magic. And anyone who wears the ring will transform when they wear the enchanted clothing."
"Transform?" Pete was pretty sure his mother was making this up, but was interested where she was going with this, "How would the person who wears the ring transform? Would they transform into the person that wore the clothing last?"
"Not really, but good guess!" Jane smiled at her son's sudden interest in the matter, "It's a little bit more complicated than that. You know how you shop for clothes that fit your style?" Pete nodded, still not really following, "Well, Pete, clothing has style. Halloween costumes, elegant dresses, even dirty socks have style. Now when I enchant clothing, I amplify that style. The style becomes so intense within that clothing, that the moment you make contact with it, you're entire body will change to reflect it."
"So if I put on an enchanted sock, I would become a sock?" Pete scoffed, losing any previous interest in the subject, "Doesn't sound like a very cool power, mom,"

If you put of the enchanted fedora, you would probably transform into some kind of suave detective. Or if I enchanted a tiara, you would probably turn into a pretty princess. You would become the perfect person to wear that piece clothing."
"Oh," Pete considered the possibilities of his mother's supposed powers, still not entirely believing her, "Well, how is this power supposed to bring us closer together?"
"I'm sure," Jane's eyes darted towards her closet, "But we won't know until we try, will we?" Jane then giddily ran towards her closet and rummaged through the clothes within. Pete wondered what crazy thoughts were going on his mother's head at the moment. Jane got excited very easily and this usually led to her going overboard on certain things. Pete remembered accidentally introducing Breaking Bad to his mother and she ended up watching the entire series within the next four days. It was this obsessive behavior that made Pete uneasy about his mother's fascination with magical clothes.
"This will do," Jane exclaimed, as a strange blue glow emitted from her closet. The glow was bright enough that it lit up the entire bedroom. Before Pete could ask his mother what the glow was, it had stopped. The room was back to normal and Pete wondered if it had even happened at all. His mother then turned around, holding in her hands a...
