Gene Graham Bell: Pete's 18 year old bully. Unlike some television or movie interpretations of bullies, Gene is not misunderstood. He doesn't have a hard home life, he doesn't struggle with grades. and he has tons of friends. Gene is just an asshole, always has been. His parents, who were the two richest people in Pete's town, never paid too much attention to Gene's attitude. They ignored what school teachers and counselors would say about their son, and paid off whoever they needed to whenever Gene did something wrong. Gene just got away with everything, and one of his favorite people to harass and beat up was Pete. Gene like gory movies, caviar, and pushing down the homeless.
Ms. Toffee: Pete's 38 year old new neighbor. Pete didn't know much about Ms. Toffee, and no one else really did either. It almost seemed like she came out of nowhere, and occupied a then empty house. The only time anyone ever saw Ms. Toffee was when she went out to get her mail. Pete heard all kinds of rumors about her, like she was hiding from the government or that she meth addict. Pete disregarded those rumors, just like he did whenever he heard the new juicy gossip spreading in his town. Ms. Toffee likes the smell of old books, eating pears, and star gazing.
FacelessFred23: Pete's online friend. FacelessFred23 or "Fred" as Pete likes to shorten, has been Pete's online friend for 2 years. Meeting on a forum discussing the ethical treatment of the original Star Wars films, Pete and Fred hit it off. Pete found himself agreeing with whatever Fred had to say, and not just about Star Wars. Whether it be music, cartoons, or even video games, Fred and Pete were basically identical with their likes and dislikes. Jack, Pete's best friend, had warned Pete that Fred may not be all that he seems. Although Pete was very aware of the dangers of the internet, he just wrote Jack off for being jealous.
