This choice: Pete Bumps Into Someone While Distracted On His Phone • Go Back...Chapter #4Clumsy by: Rita "A Update Is Available For This Device. Please Stand By Until The Update Is Complete," read the message that had popped up on Pete's phone. Pete, who had been expecting a text, looked disappointingly at the small screen. He hated these updates, they always took forever and until they were complete, Pete had no way to use his phone. Not that Pete used his phone that often, usually only for texting three different people, but he didn't appreciate that being taken away from him. Just as he was about to see if he could avoid the update in any way, Pete absentmindedly collided with someone else walking on the sidewalk. The stranger and Pete clumsily collapsed onto the pavement.
"Oh man," Pete said, as he rubbed his bruised elbow, and offered his hand to the stranger, "I am so sorry! That was definitely my fault. I should've been paying attention," The stranger took Pete's hand and pulled themselves back up. Now in full view, Pete became incredibly embarrassed to realized he had knocked over...
Layla Doomspring: Pete's 22 year old former crush. When Pete first entered high school, Layla caught his eye almost immediately. She was the busty, goth /alternative girl of his dreams. But there was something else about her that he couldn't just put his finger on, something special. Every other guy in the school must have felt the same way, because Pete always saw her surrounded by hopeful suitors. Pete never mustered up the courage to actually approach her, not that would have mattered anyways, since she dropped out in only two months. Her father and mother were on a yacht party sponsored by the company they worked for and it sank due to poor maintenance. Layla received millions of dollars due to a resulting lawsuit for the loss of her parents. The question of whether she had dropped out due to the grief over her parents deaths or simply because she was set for life would most likely be left unanswered. Layla hasn't spoken to anyone since the incident and has spent all of her time isolated inside her house. Layla hates happy music, romantic comedies, and fruit flavored candy.
Chloe Eve: A 30 year old pregnant artist. Pete knew Chloe through the art supplies store she owned, "The Magic Brush". He had been seeing her for art lessons for the last month. Pete appreciated her patience with him, as he struggled to grasp even the basic concepts of art. While he struggled, Pete had created a small friendship with Chloe. Chloe would even extend some of Pete's lessons for free, just so they could continue talking. Pete liked Chloe, feeling incredible comfortable with Chloe, even if they were completely different people. Pete did have to make sure he didn't bring up her pregnancy though, since the father of the child had recently walked out on her. The subject usually almost brought Chloe to tears, and it broke Pete's heart to see that. Chloe likes storytelling, puppies, and cheesecake.
Tyrese Duke: The 48 year old mayor of Pete's town. Pete only really knew Tyrese through his campaign speeches whenever there was an election. His slogan was "A community is no miracle and it won't take a miracle to fix one," Tyrese won by a landslide, most voters in the town were won over by his charm and honesty. During his first run as mayor local employments rates went up, schools got new books and equipment, and pollution had hit an all time low. He had done such a phenomenal job, that he was re elected two more times. Tyrese likes old comedians, jellybeans, and jogging. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
