Leaning back, Landon savoured the whiskey - neat, the way he preferred it. It was a long haul, this run between his offices on Earth and company HQ on New Virginia, but at least he could make the journey in luxury... or get work done, if he wished, or both.

That's just one of the advantages of owning 25% of the largest Uranium-355 mining outfit on New Virginia. Wealth. Now, acquiring and keeping such wealth required work, but Landon had no objection to that.

As long as the work could be done in luxury. Luxury houses, luxury helicopters, luxury spacecraft suites. Sure, further back on this craft, there was a load of freight heading to New Virginia - everything from parts for the mining machines to cases of the whiskey Landon was savouring, but that was 'back there' - along with the passengers in 'cattle class'.

Up front was for big shots like Landon, and the most 'up front' of the ship was the First Class cabin, where Landon was was enjoying the luxury! (In between bouts of working, of course.) On this trip, in First Class...
