Landon is in pursuit of a lady

On this trip, in First Class, Landon was not alone... there were several other passengers of wealth and charm, enjoying the amenities of the forward luxury cabin.

One of whom Landon had his eye on!

She was a beauty, charming, and witty... and not too forward, though she did have options, and didn't simper the way some lasses did in his presence. In fact, she gave every sign of not caving in easily to his charms - and Landon did enjoy pursuit, when the rewards were this lovely.

And when the pursuit could be done in luxurious comfort.

The object of his attentions was, of course, aware of his interest. She was not disinterested - but had enough independence of mind, and of means, to value herself and hold that any man who wanted to her had to prove himself worthy.

And charming.

And witty.

And be handsome.

And well off, or at least well provided for.

Landon met all of those requirements, at first blush, but the chase was such fun.

One of the other first class passengers - comfortably married - had observed the two 'younger' folks and their pursuit, and found it entertaining to see how far it could go. The lady certainly was a beauty AND a catch, by the standards of the New Confederacy, but then, so was Landon. Both were generously handsome, and of substantial style,
