Rose is a seventeen year old girl with a more-or-less unremarkable body, save her jet-black hair and deep brown eyes. One week, when her parents are away, she finds an old, black book in her house's attic, so thick that it must have several thousand pages. Rose begins to read the book and realises that it is a spellbook focusing on almost entirely one thing: growth.
