Amber cursed her luck, knowing that she should be going outside and thinking about her safety first before everything else but also feeling too ashamed to do so showing her naked lower half to whoever wasn't still a zombie out there.
"Where could I get clothes?" she thought looking around the empty lobby. Noticing nobody was on reception because probably the staff just ran away maybe she could search in their storeroom for some pants that could fit her, there was also the janitor closet and finally there was Ms. Walsh's house, her first floor neighbour, a sweet old lady that naturally didn't have the most fashionable clothing choices but anything would do right now. Or she could go back to her own house, now armed with the fire axe that was behind the easy to break glass for emergencies, and take care of her zombiefied husband in order to get both clothes and a safe haven...
The noises outside alerted Amber, letting her know she didn't have much time to plan out a strategy and that maybe she already wasted valuable time not running the hell out of her building. Opening the door of the building a bit just to peek how things were outside it was clear what happened to Ben wasn't just a single anomaly, the streets looked ridden with whatever was causing people to turn into zombies and from what she could say there was a state of chaos already, with a few zombies roaming around randomly, a crashed car starting a small fire, a couple of devoured corpses that might just turn into more enemies and nobody out there trying to control the situation.
Amber gasped when she heard a grunt way closer than she should, probably coming from behind the door she was holding open, and quickly retreated closing the door, hyperventilating and prayer for the threat to go away while her mind scrambled to clear itself and focus on what would be the next action to guarantee her safety. She wasted no time breaking the glass to get that axe and started moving forward, carefully, greatly fearing the next time she could be taken by surprise could be the last
