Jessica glowered at her phone, wondering what gap it could fill. She had a computer and she had a phone, so why did she need this? Deciding to keep trying, the damned things were everywhere, so they must be doing something for a lot of people. In the comfort and privacy of her office she decided to experiment. Besides it was a generous present from her daughters, and they would be asking how useful she'd found it. She couldn't just lie, and pretend, they'd see through that too quickly. She opened a few of the apps, and experimented with the store. Unsure how much space she was using, and how fast these things would be.
The phone seemed to work from her searches, or her location, and knew she was on a university campus. As the suggestions grew more accurate. Professor Hilton wondered if these things could genuinely deliver what they seemed to be promising.
Still unfamiliar with the whole smart phone experience, Jessica accidentally activated the app. Leaving the phone on her desk, she reached for a folder on a high shelf.
Muttering to herself that being taller would be handy. Sliding the folder from the shelf, she walked back to her desk. Something felt off, but she couldn't pin it down.
Frowning as she sat, she realised the chair must need adjusting. It had slipped to a different position, as her legs brushed against the underside of her desk.
The lamp on her desk seemed to have uncurled it's long neck, it was too low, and more in the way, than lighting up her paperwork.
Adjusting it felt unfamiliar, and the Sun was now in her eyes. Reaching for the levers beneath the seat, she tried to lower it back down. Only to discover it was still at the lowest position. The one she preferred! Double-checking, she ensured she hadn't higher heels on than she thought. Nope! Nothing on the floor lifting her legs higher, or keeping her feet from the floor.
But, she'd never had this before. The desk was a good fit, she eyed the iPhone suspiciously.
