The evening started as it always did at Wilkos, everyone gathered at the Help Desk listening to Liz giving them information on the store's performance. And this time Elizabeth was showing her face, having left her office. Paperwork was bound to get anyone down, including management. When that was done, Liz gave everyone their work assignments.
The employees were glad trading hours were almost over, since a lot of them actually hated dealing with customers. Charlotte and Becca mostly. But now Charlotte had another reason to complain. "I'm working toiletries... on my own?" she asked Liz, mouth agape.
Liz sighed, stashing her papers under the Help Desk. "I know there's a lot of work on there, but I'll send someone to help you as soon as some of the other sections get worked okay." she responded.
"Fine!" Charlotte groaned, tipping her head back and rolling her eyes. She may have been twenty, but she still acted like a teenager.
Liz then smiled at the two new starters, Jade and Suki. She was going to pair them up with other staff, just until they learnt the ropes more. Jade was put to work with Nicola, and Suki with Waggy. "If you need help with anything, just ask okay." Liz assured the two 'newbies'. She then went back to the Help Desk to have a chat with Elizabeth.
Everyone else settled into their usual work routines without problem.
None of them had any idea what was going to happen to them in the coming hours...
