This choice: Apollo is down to an inch or two in height. • Go Back... Apollo felt a chill that seemed to consume his entire being.
This wasn't supposed to happen. How had it happened? Trucy had plenty of different disappearing acts, -- some for herself and some for props or assistants -- but she'd never brought up a trick like this.
How was it possible that he found himself sitting in a heap on the largest chair he'd ever seen, with the shocked faces of Athena and Trucy, their size multiplied countless times over, staring down at him?
Neither of the girls said anything for a few seconds.
"... Polly...?" Trucy finally said softly.
It certainly looked like him. On the chair Apollo had been waiting in, there sat a tiny figure, probably no taller than an inch or two. Trucy's keen eyesight might not have been on the level of Apollo's, but she could clearly see his familiar features.
"Madre de Dios..." Athena muttered, barely audible.
Reality was only just starting to set in for Apollo when another massive object suddenly came into view, rapidly approaching him. He scrambled away for a moment, and the object halted. Given a moment to take in the sight of it, Apollo recognized it. It was just Athena's hand. She looked to have hesitated when she saw him panic. He stared up at her face again. She looked unreal, looming over him like that.
Her fingertips began to approach him again, more slowly this time.
He was ready, but still felt his breath freeze in his throat as Athena's index finger gently probed against his chest. Her single fingertip alone was bigger than his entire upper body.
It was a while before the trio managed to properly calm down and take in their situation.
Trucy had somehow caused Apollo to shrink down to barely two inches tall -- counting his hair antennae, Athena found once she brought over a ruler to measure -- and none of them had any idea of how they might reverse this change.
"Athena, could you stop?" Apollo asked, exasperation rising in his voice as his towering co-worker poked at him once again. He yelped as Athena scooped his little body right off the chair instead.
"Sorry, Apollo," she said, not sounding the part, "But you're just so puny, it's hard to resist."
"I don't need you to remind me of that, either." Apollo said shakily, lying on his back in Athena's palm.
"She's got a point, Polly." Trucy said coyly. "Maybe we shouldn't try and change it back."
"Don't even joke about that." Apollo snapped, though his voice was still shaking. "How am I supposed to keep working like this?"
"Aww, Apollo, don't worry. I can make up for the slack, easy." Athena said teasingly, gently running a fingertip over the top of his head. "We can still be a team. I'll do all the heavy lifting, -- figuratively and literally-- and you can be the adorable little mascot to bring in business!"
Apollo's only reply was a very small glare.
