It was easily one of the stranger stories making the news in L.A. that morning. There had been some kind of confusing event just off the downtown area that no one seemed to be able to properly explain. Witness accounts were mixed all across the board, with the only reliable component to the story being the bright flash of reddish light that engulfed the street in question for several seconds early in the morning. The sun was rising at the time, but those around the area took notice of the excessively scarlet appearance the area took on at the moment the event occurred.
From there, the interesting part began. Where there had been a two-story building, one that had been present for nearly twenty years, there was now just a large open space, an uneven mess of dirt and bits of concrete foundation left scattered across the lot.
According to the news, it was a law office, a talent agency, or both. "Was" being the operative word, as the entire building, so far as anyone could tell, had simply disappeared.
News crews and emergency responders were en route to the scene, but elsewhere, something more notable related to the event was going down.
Contrary to what was suggested by the scene, the Wright Anything Agency was still very much intact. Its physical integrity was about all that remained unchanged about the building, however.
The current occupants of the Agency were all its usuals. Phoenix Wright, who stared out his office window in disbelief, trying to comprehend was had happened, along with his daughter, Trucy Wright, and his two employees, Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes.
The latter three were currently standing together in the office's main room, wondering about much the same thing as Mr. Wright.
How in the world had their office been shrunken down to approximately the size of a paint bucket, and how had it ended up here?
