Things were strange for Apollo during what remained of his time in the office. He argued, but Athena eventually talked him into agreement. He knew perfectly well that he wasn't safe on his own at this size, and while Athena might not have been his number-one choice, he didn't doubt that she'd do her best to take care of him for however long it would take Trucy to reverse what had happened to him.
At the moment, he was resting in the pocket of Athena's shirt as she stepped off the bus just down the road from her apartment building. He peeked out of his cover. Nobody else was immediately walking by.
"Athena?" he called. She glanced down.
"What's up?" she asked softly, trying not to draw any possible attention.
Apollo had several questions for her that he'd thought up during the bus ride. He picked one out to start with and said, "I've gotta ask you-"
Athena stopped him with a gentle fingertip on the top of his head, which she pushed down with to tuck him back into her pocket. "Shh. There's gonna be plenty of time for questions once we're inside again. Right now I don't want people to think I'm crazy."
Apollo shrugged to himself. That made sense.
"OK, Apollo." Athena said with a sigh, closing her apartment's door behind her. She carefully lifted him out of her pocket as she entered the small kitchen. "You remember what it's like in here?"
Apollo looked around from his position in Athena's hand. She settled him in her palm, and he sat comfortably. "Kinda." he said. In truth, it had been at least a couple of months since the last time he'd been in Athena's apartment, and he'd only visited the one time. When they hung around together on weekends, it was usually at the office or out somewhere else.
"Guess I'll give you a refresher tour." Athena said, kicking off her boots.
She carried him around her apartment, indicating the few different rooms.
"I'm gonna try and keep you pretty close to me most of the time, to be safe," she said once she returned to the kitchen, "So just tell me anytime you... y'know, need the bathroom, or something like that."
"Gotcha." Apollo acknowledged.
Athena set him on the tabletop and sat down.
"So..." she said, easing back in her chair. "You want some food? I'm starving."
