The blond-haired woman smiled at the sight of the bus turning the corner at the end of the road and approaching her at the bus stop. She adjusted her purse's strap on her shoulder and stepped aboard the bus once it shuddered to a stop before her.
She strolled to her preferred seat partway to the back and sat down. There, she placed her purse between her legs again and unzipped its top, digging a hand inside for her phone. She realized that she was in the wrong pocket after finding it empty, and moved on to the next.
Constant movements shifting the world all around them were not doing much to make Apollo or Athena comfortable. They still didn't ahve the faintest idea of what was going on. Voices could still be heard outside of their dark prison, and some sort of heavy rumbling was going on from somewhere beneath them now.
Suddenly, a sharp sound tore through the air above them, and blinding light spilled in. Athena gave a frightened shriek. "Whoa-!!"
Apollo's reaction sent him tumbling back toward the wall. Something huge was rushing into their cramped confines. It moved like it was alive, shuffling about for a moment before retreating. He blinked at the harsh light and had just enough time for a realization to click in his head.
"A-Apollo...?"
He looked over to see Athena, backed up to the wall opposite as well. The light from above had been lessened, but there was still some there.
"Was that a hand...?"
Athena's disbelieving tone made Apollo wish he could contradict her, but she was correct. The massive thing that had just briefly invaded their prison had definitely looked like a very, very large human hand.
Apollo recoiled as the wall behind him shuffled against his back. He felt something strike against it.
"What the hell is this-!?" he stammered. When he returned his attention to Athena, he found her staring upward. He followed her gaze and froze.
The gap above that was allowing light into their surroundings showed him a partly obstructed view of a dull-grey ceiling far above, but before that, he could see something more attention-grabbing.
A woman's chest was hovering in the air overhead, and her face could be seen, partly obstructed, above that.
The young woman chatted idly away on her phone, still wearing a smile from the experience of watching the magic show. She was utterly oblivious to the two minuscule individuals staring up at her from the confines of her purse's smaller pocket.
