-A story route requested by another user-
At 7:41 AM, Ms. Rhoda Teneiro arrived for her day's work with iFly Airlines, to begin at 8 AM.
At 8:33 AM, Ms. Cammy Meele arrived for her day's work with iFly Airlines, to begin at 8 AM.
At 10:07 AM, both attendants were crossing the tarmac to board the first flight of the four-hour round trip they were to work on. Both ought to have been there several minutes earlier, but Rhoda was delayed by having to locate Cammy taking a nap in a staff dressing room and drag her outside.
At the same time that both were approaching their flight, a cargo vehicle was transporting an experimental substance to an adjoining plane's position.
An unfortunate accident led to the tank containing the experimental substance in question being dropped on the tarmac, the damage spraying both Ms. Teneiro and Ms. Meele with the tank's contents.
At 10:09 AM, the entire Hope Springs Airport unexpectedly shut down.
Cammy yawned, rolling her shoulders and giving an exaggerated sigh.
If Rhoda hadn't dragged her away from her nap, this wouldn't have happened. They would've boarded their flight, had an easy day like always, and clocked out.
Instead they were three-hundred feet tall, give or take, and stuck in the middle of the airfield while hundreds and hundreds of people panicked and moved all over the place around them, down on the ground.
Rhoda kept shifting in alarm, afraid that her heeled shoes would damage something or hurt somebody. Cammy rolled her eyes every time, amazed at how difficult Rhoda apparently found it to just not move anywhere. She could sure sit still and do nothing for a few hours while still getting paid for it...
Everyone down on the ground was trying to get the airport back into some semblance of normal function in spite of the two gigantic flight attendants now looming over the entire facility. Tiny vehicles moving around them, people giving annoying instructions - Cammy had managed to give the hunky pilot she and Rhoda were supposed to be in the air with right now a flirty look and a lazy wave a few minutes ago after spotting him, but that was about the only positive in the whole thing.
If he would come over, she and him could at least have a little fun...
"Cammy...!" Rhoda said, drawing her attention. She sounded as frazzled as ever. Her stupid hair cubes looked a bit droopy.
"Hm? What?" Cammy replied, yawning again.
"Didn't you hear?" Rhoda asked, a familiar flash of irritation crossing her nervous face. "They want us to move over there," (she pointed) "and help get some flights off the ground. We can't just stop the entire airport all morning."
Cammy didn't particularly see why they couldn't. All those tiny, random people on the ground could always find another flight on another day... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
