Korra and Make had started to date after the defeat of Amon leader of the Equalists. Thanks to his part in taking down the rouge blood bender Mako had been offered a job as a peace officer leading him to spend less time with Korra than he had before. After three canceled dates in a row Korra was feeling a little frustrated so she decided to just walk around Republic City hoping the physical activity would help calm her down. It worked for a bit and what was even better was she was able to stop some random street crime, unfortunately, this brought Mako over who told her off for doing the work of the licensed officers. Having enough Korra yelled at him for being a bad boyfriend before stalking away and ending up back at the air temple.
