Cinder was worn out and weary from her fight, but she didn't let it show. She glanced over at Mercury, who looked just as tired as she felt. She looked for Emerald, and saw her lay in the dirt beneath the fall maiden. Amber raised her staff, ready to strike, when Cinder fired an arrow right at her. The girl fell to the ground, as Emerald and Mercury grabbed her and held her down in front of Cinder.
The woman reached out, ready to extract the fall maidens power, but instead of what she was expecting, there was a flash of light. Mercury and Emerald shielded their eyes, looking away, and when they looked back, Cinder had vanished.
Amber, taking her chance, fled the scene, and the two didn't bother going after her without Cinder. Amber was injured, and thought she would die any minute. She collapsed on the side of the road, just as a tall dark haired figure approached her. The last thing she remembered was the man with the scythe - then she fell unconscious.
