Gumshoe showed up at Mr. Edgeworth's office. He was disappointed to find that Mr. Edgeworth was not there. Gumshoe was getting depressed lately. For one thing he didn't feel like he was a good enough boyfriend for Maggey, she was great and deserved a man who could actually afford a relationship. Another thing that led to his depressed state was that Mr. Edgeworth has had less and less work to give him nowadays, sure there was some things he had to do, but that wasn't nearly enough. Gumshoe didn't have the techniques that Edgeworth's other assistants did. Kay had the replication thingy, Ema had that stuff to see blood, and Judge Courtney was just as smart as him. All Gumshoe had was a metal detector and his trusty fishing pole. Gumshoe pouted and went to sit on Edgeworth's couch. He looked around at all the things Edgeworth had, man he must be rich. All Gumshoe could afford was ramen, and yet his closest friend/co-worker/idol was loaded and living comfortably. Gumshoe decided to look around the office and at Edgeworth's stuff, Surely Mr. Edgeworth wouldn't mind as long as nothing was broken! Gumshoe saw an unopened package laying by the door, he must have not seen it when he came in.
"Hmm....." Gumshoe let out as he thought about opening it. "Packages arrive in the mornin' and It's almost noon now, So if Mr. Edgeworth didn't open it already, that must mean he doesn't want it!" He exclaimed as he took the package and ripped it open. "Ooooh! A T.V remote! Man, Mr. Edgeworth has everything!" He said, not even bothering to look at the instruction booklet. Gumshoe looked around for a T.V. Thankfully he found a tiny emergency one in a cabinet. Gumshoe turned it on and it was on a news station. "Time to see how this baby works!" Gumshoe said and pressed a button without looking at what it was. Nothing Happened. He tried again, nothing. and again, and again, and again. After about twenty tries he gave up "What's the matter with this thing?" He said scratching his head. He looked at the buttons, one said aware and the other said unaware. "What, are these some kind of channel names?" He asked himself.
After about twenty more minutes of trying to figure out how to change the channel with the remote Gumshoe decided to read the instructions. To his amazement it was a body swap remote. Gumshoe fantasized at the possibilities, he could become closer to Edgeworth by swapping with one of his other partners! He could swap himself with Edgeworth and enjoy the life of a rich man! He could even become a better man for Maggey! Gumshoe was practically hopping with excitement!
