I figure it's probably not the best idea in the world to deny a child his size anything. Even though she can be a sweet child, when she doesn't get what she wants, she has been known to get extremely angry. Probably not a good thing to be on the receiving end of that.
I hand the device over to the giant child, with a little trepidation. As soon as it lands in her giant palm, it grows to accommodate her larger size.
"Cool," Amy said, marveling at what just happened. She notices the "G" and "S" settings on the gun and she asks me what they mean.
"'S' is for 'Shrink' and 'G' is for 'Grow,'" I respond, knowing, with her natural curiosity, she was bound to try out one of them.
"Makes sense," Amy responds. "Let's see, what setting should I use?"
"You could always shrink yourself down," I offered, trying to convince the girl to return to normal. "You know, before you get in trouble."
"Who can punish me now?" Amy says. I'm, like 10 times larger than anyone else. No, I think an extra shot of 'Growth' is just what I need."
She makes sure the gun is set on the correct setting and fires, as a pretty full blast hits her in the midsection. Immediately, she begins growing. I notice her hand enlarging all around me, and I look up into her face a she takes the experience in.
She passes the 100 foot mark a little and stops. She breathes in deeply.
"That felt great," Amy says, her voice booming out in all directions. Just then, Amy looks down towards the ground to see her mother and older brother coming outside. Her mother stare up in disbelief as she realize her daughter is towering over her now.
"Hi, Mommy," the girl waves down at her. "I guess I'm not your 'little' girl anymore, huh?" The mother meekly waves back not sure of what to do next.
Amy looks a few houses down the street to see one of her best friends, Becky, come out. In fact, by this time, the entire neighborhood was outside, amazed and a little scared of the giant girl.
Amy noticed Becky and a thought crossed her mind. She could grow her best friend to her height and the two could have some fun with their neighbors.
Or, Amy could decide to grow either her mom or brother.
