The first person to catch Roy's eye was a pretty, but sullen-looking teenage goth girl out in the parking lot. He had no idea who she was, but she frequently passed through the apartment's parking lot in the early morning and again late in the afternoon, probably on her way to and from school. She looked to be just fourteen or fifteen. She had shoulder-length, jet black hair, obviously dyed that way. She always wore thick, black eyeliner and mascara and deep, dark purple lipstick. Today she was dressed in a long-sleeved, black sweatshirt emblazoned with the faded logo of some goth band Roy had never heard of. She wore a gauzy, flowing black skirt that hung down just below her knees. She had red-and-black striped tights on her legs and wore a pair of heavy, black, high-heeled boots festooned with various shiny, silver buckles.
Roy smiled mischievously, pointed the futuristic device out the window, carefully aimed it at the goth girl, and pushed the button. Now in order to effect a Role Swap, he knew he'd need a secondary target. But who... or what?
