For a moment Roy felt weirdly self-conscious, being out in a public parking lot dressed like a cheerleader. After all, he was still physically male. Although he now wore the strange girl's bra, he had nothing on his chest to fill out the cups. However, as Roy inspected himself he realized reality must have been altered to make all this somehow seem “normal” to the world. No one coming and going through the busy parking lot was gawking or staring at him. And then there was the fact that his hair had magically grown-out into a ponytail – that hardly could've happened overnight. Come to think of it, Roy now noticed his legs had been shaved smooth. And his ears were now pierced and sported some tiny studs.
Somehow, reality had been changed so that Roy now occupied the role formerly held by this teenage girl... and she now occupied her life. Their bodies had changed minimally.
Given that he wasn't being viewed as a freak, Roy decided to play along with his new role and explore this girl's life a little.
“After all,” he said to himself softly. “I've still got this.”
He rubbed the slim, high-tech device still in his hands... and noticed his fingernails were now longer and painted a bright shade of red-purple.
Slipping the device into his purse, Roy walked off in the direction of the high school. Although the world now somehow perceived him as this cheerleader, he had acquired none of her memories or personality. He hoped to somehow bluff his way through her classes and activities.
The school was just a few blocks away. Roy felt a wave of happy nostalgia wash over him as he arrived on campus. His own high school days had been considerably happier than the past few rough years he'd experienced. It might be fun to re-live being a carefree teenager.
Approaching the main school building, Roy spotted a small cluster of girls dressed in cheerleader uniforms identical to his own. They were gossiping amongst themselves, chatting away happily. Roy smiled and wondered if he should try to blend in with his new peers... or should experiment with his new high-tech toy a little more!
