“This is weird,” Roy said to himself in a quiet voice.
Although he was physically still male, Roy was completely attired in the cheerleader uniform of a teenage girl – which had strangely been altered to fit his body perfectly. The only exception was the bra he now wore, which felt strangely empty on his flat, masculine chest. But the rest of his new clothes seemed perfectly tailored for him. Additionally, Roy discovered his ears were now pierced, his fingernails were longer and painted, his legs were shaved smooth, and his hair had grown out to the same length as the originally girl... and was, in fact, now styled in a long ponytail, identical to hers but now in Roy's hair color.
However, as Roy inspected himself he realized reality must have been altered to make all this somehow seem “normal” to the world. No one coming and going through the busy parking lot was gawking or staring at him. The girl now upstairs in his old apartment wearing his work uniform hadn't rushed out outside in a panic demanding to know what was going on.
It was as though, for everyone but Roy, things had always been like this.
With a bit of a euphoric high about his powerful, new-found technological toy, Roy began wandering through the neighborhood. Nobody seemed to perceive him as anything other than a typical, teenage girl. The breeze felt strangely refreshing on his bare legs. In a weird sort of way, it felt liberating to be outdoors, out-in-public, dressed in nothing more than a skimpy cheerleader top and a mini skirt. Additionally, Roy felt powerful as he clutched the high-tech gadget in his hands.
A few blocks away from the apartment, Roy felt a playful urge to try the device again. He scanned around looking for targets. There were plenty of people in the neighborhood, busily going to work, school, or just out enjoying the weather.
