She sighed in relief as she saw the source of the moaning was just the wind blowing against the railing of the lighthouse. "Its fine. Just the wind hitting the..." Dakota said as she looked down from above. "What the?"
"Something up?" Piper asked. "Getting cold feet?"
"I think I see someone on the beach!" Dakota said hurrying back down the stairs. "And they aren't moving!"
Zack and Piper looked at each other for a moment before following Dakota down the stairs. The two of them ran onto the beach in a hurry, but what they saw lying on the beach was a shock to behold.
"This...this isn't real right?" Piper said not wanting to believe what she was seeing.
Lying there on the beach for their eyes was a young woman with long black hair with fair skin and a seashell bra covering her breasts. But that wasn't what surprised them. The woman's lower half was just one big fish tail with bright blue scales covering it.
"A...mermaid?!" Zack said before pinching himself. "Nope. Not a dream." he said. "But is she..."
"No...she's still got a pulse." Dakota said before they saw a boat approaching.
"I forgot the Coast Guard makes patrols here. If they see her, they might just dissect her." Zack said.
"Get her in the lighthouse then." Piper said as they carrier the girl off into the lighthouse and waited there for some time.
