As she was standing there eyebrows raised,lips pouted and arms crossed you merely gibbered wordlessly clearly enchanted by her beauty Rose asked "Well aren't you going to speak or shall I find someone who can? It's very rude to remain silent when someone is talking to you." Your throat finally becomes unstuck so and your mouth dry so you can form actual words "Yeah sorry about that it's just that I was...was.. mesmerized...by.." You couldn't finish and she quizzed your true motives "Yes? You were mesmerized by what? It wouldn't be me by any chance would it?" Forced to fully answer you slowly nod as you expect her to get mad and storm away or perhaps slap you in disgust but to your surprise Rose does neither instead there is a small smile playing about her face "Well that's not surprising as most men are quite taken by my beauty and intellect I still have no idea where I am but for the time being I will introduce myself to you(she sticks out her arm to you)I'm Rose Dewitt Bukater and whom may I ask do I have the honor of addressing?" She asked politely you tell her your name and she shakes your hand "Well Willy it's a honor to meet someone as pleasant as you but I really must be getting back you see I'm due to board the R.M.S Titanic,one of the grandest ships known to man first thing tomorrow along with my mother and fiance and sorry to cut introductions short but if you could be so kind to direct me to the nearest.." You shake your head clearly she didn't have a clue did she that she just been transported through space and time in a world she couldn't begin to understand "Yeah about that Ms. Bukater but I'm afraid you won't be able to make it back in time to the Titanic." Her eyebrows narrowed and her lips pursed as expected as she asked "And why is that?" You swallowed hard wondering how you were going to break it to her "Because..because look you fell through a portal right into my living room so it would be practically impossible for you to get back as you are in a entirely different timeline." "Can you please explain to me what exactly you mean?" She asked you gestured her to take a seat in the nearest chair she does as you sit on the couch "Okay how to explain I really don't know where to begin you see this swirling thing called a portal or vortex appeared in my living room where we are now and I have no earthly idea how to explain this..." You groan this was far harder than you thought Rose urged you calmly "Try your best and take it slow do you know where this vortex thing came from?" You shake your head "No not a clue it just appeared out of nowhere but wherever it came from must have affected the space-time continuum in other words Ms. Bukater(she asked you to simply call her Rose from now on)sorry Rose it apparently affected you too whatever you were doing wherever you were you must have seen it and were both fascinated and bewildered by what you were seeing and it must have pulled you through to here." Though you expect her to ask a thousand questions Rose nodded apparently she understood everything "So it pulled me into your world or more specifically into your living room how do I get back?" "I wish I knew Rose I would help you get back if I could but in the meantime if you desire a place to stay and some company I would be more than happy to offer you shelter." You stand up as does she giving you a full smile then offers her hand "That's very generous of you Willy I would very much like to stay here until and if I get back so what is all this? What are all these things?" She looks around in awe from the widescreen TV,to the surround sound system,your laptop and cellphone on the table next to her "I'll have to explain them all to you as this is the year 2016 you have a lot catching up to do Ms. Rose but first are you tired or hungry by any chance?" She shakes her head "No neither but I am ever curious about this year you say it's 2016 I find that hard to believe then again..." As she takes a closer look at the modern things around her then back to you "Could you show me more of this modern era you call 2016? Starting with..."
