Jason, Sarah, Rachel and Ben discuss the art project. Professor Ralston had assigned that at least one of them had to do a performance installation and the other three had to help. Jason volunteers. Sarah suggests a theme of gender inequality. She shows a video of "Performance Artist For Sale".
Sarah says, "We could do something similar to this video but make the theme about what women are expected to put out."
Jason protests, "No way. Some of that video borders on sadism."
Rachel speaks up, "We don't have to do everything on that video. However, I see the potential in Sarah's idea. If we modify it to be a list of what women are expected to put out but our performance is about a man expected to put out instead, that would definitely make our project stand out and we can still set limits to keep it from going to far."
Jason says, "We better set limits ahead of time and nothing better happen that I'm not okay with."
So they negotiate. The day of the performance, Jason takes his place in the corner of the museum where he had been assigned. Next to him is a rack of clothes and a table with various grooming products. Also nearby is a bed and a fridge full of beer. Jason wears a basic t-shirt and jeans outfit. Sarah is in charge of keeping the props orderly. Rachel is in charge of security making sure nothing gets out of hand. Ben is in charge of gathering the audience.
Ben has a podium with a menu for the audience. Members of the audience may pay for one of the items on the menu. The menu reads as follows:
Direct artist to pose for a photo $1.00
Kiss artist $1.00
Remove an article of clothing or jewelry from artist $1.00
Dress artist in an article of clothing or jewelry of your choice $1.00
Make out with artist (non-sexual) $5.00
Receive back rub from artist $5.00
Expect artist to listen to your problems $5.00
Tell artist to shut up $5.00
Shave a region of the artist (such as a leg or an arm) $5.00
Fondle artist $10.00
Apply one kind of make up to artist $10.00
Demand a beer $10.00
Ask artist to tuck you in $10.00
Slow dance with artist $10.00
Ask artist to dance sexy or to do a striptease $20.00
Ask artist for a lap dance $50.00
Additional rules for all chapters following this branch
1. No individual spends more than $50.00. That is, no one should change Jason's appearance AND get a lap dance. Whoever asks for a lap dance should be satisfied with however Jason happens to be dressed at the time.
