There is a change in the air and the others gro...

As Steven and Josh went to their assigned sections, Liz stood by the sealed exit for a moment, folding her arms as she watched Liam make some half-assed attempt to get the doors open. Liz rolled her eyes and then headed over to the help desk in order to confirm that the phone lines were indeed out. This can't be good... Liz thought to herself, as she put the receiver down.

Right, Steven can you start by moving those big bags of dog food off the shelf and onto a cage, we have to change the layout." Elizabeth directed Steven when they arrived on the pet foods aisle. "And then there's a whole new range of dog food to go on the shelves." she continued.

"Okay, no worries." Steven mumbled, nodding to his manager.

Josh didn't know quite what to think as he arrived on the seasonal section and saw Alexa and Naomi stood there, as if waiting for him before they could start work. He could forgive them though. Naomi wasn't exactly built for manual labor due to her short stature, and neither was Alexa really, and not just because her exquisite manicure would no doubt suffer if she moved too many boxes.

"Finally! What's happened at the front?" Alexa asked Josh, a strong Spanish accent present in her voice.

Josh was unsure whether to tell the truth and risk panicking the girls. He quickly decided they needed to know. "The doors have sealed shut and the windows have frosted over or something. We're stuck in here until we can get the doors open." Josh informed his two co-workers.

"Seriously??" Alexa frowned.

"That's weird." Naomi spoke up. "It's not that cold outside, um... is it?"

Josh shook his head. "No it isn't." he said. "Lets just get to work, I'm sure things will work out." Josh forced out a smile, despite the growing sense of foreboding that was currently creeping into his mind.

And on every other aisle in the store, the other employees were also beginning to feel a sudden sense of apprehension, as if something was going to happen. But they had no idea what. That feeling wasn't helped when Liz put out a quick tannoy announcement telling everyone what had happened.

Everyone in the store couldn't help but feel nervous for some reason...
